Earth Science Week

2002 Gallery - Awesome Forces That Shape The Earth

The Perkins Museum at University of Vermont, in conjunction with the Vermont Geological Society and the Vermont Geological Survey, sponsored the annual Earth Science Week Poster Contests in 1998-2002. Here's a sampling of some great posters by Vermont students in 2002 for the theme "Awesome Forces That Shape the Earth".

Nearly 1100 people participated in organized Earth Science Week activities in 2002. Activities included Geologists-in-the-Parks, the poster contest-Awesome Forces that Shape the Earth at Perkins Museum, Fleming Museum tours, the second annual OMYA Open House at the Middlebury Quarry, and Mineral ID Day at VINS in Montpelier.
