1998 Air Toxics Report

Section 5-261 of the Vermont Air Pollution Control Regulations ("Regulations") requires the Secretary of the Agency of Natural Resources ("Agency") to review each Hazardous Ambient Air Standard for the contaminants listed in Appendix C, Category I of the Regulations and the method for their derivation. To assist in the review, the Agency appointed a Toxicological Advisory Committee. The Air Toxics Report identified at this site presents the recommendations from the Committee, including suggested revisions to some current standards. These recommendations have been based upon the best scientific information available to the Committee at the time of review. No changes proposed by the Committee will take affect until such time as the Agency completes the rule amendment process identified in Title 3 V.S.A. Chapter 25 (Administrative Procedures).
