Climate Change and VERMONT  ...

It may be hard to imagine that what we do here in the rural state of Vermont could possibly contribute to changes in the Earth's climate. . . but each day our vehicles, homes, factories, power plants, etc. emit tons of heat-trapping greenhouse gases (GHGs) to the air. When you add up GHG emissions from all of your friends' and neighbors' activities and then add to that all the activities happening every day on our planet . . . it really is a big deal.

However, a growing number of Vermonters and people around the globe are taking actions now to reduce their own GHG emissions. It’s not too late to join them and be part of the global solution to climate change.
