Vermont Wetland Training and Educational Opportunities The Vermont Wetlands Program ishas no new training and educational opportunities at this time. Wetland Environments: Delineation, Function and Protection If you would like to learn more about: how the State of Vermont’s Wetland rules have changed, coordination of wetland programs and policies at Federal and State levels of government, the new regionalized Army Corps of Engineers Wetlands Manual, or how EPA will be conducting a nation-wide assessment of Wetland Conditions – you will want to attend the upcoming Wetlands Workshop on May 16th. Workshop co-sponsored by UVM Plant & Soil Science, USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and USDA Forest Service -- as part of the National Cooperative Soil Survey Other Wetland Training Opportunities The Institute for Wetland & Environmental Education & Research (IWEER) provides basic wetland delineation training across the nation, with several trainings in New England. The Society of Wetland Scientists regularly lists wetland trainings and conferences. University of New Hampshire has Professional Development training for soil scientist that includes wetland delination courses.

Vermont Wetland Fact Sheets The Vermont Wetlands Office has produced a series of Wetland Fact Sheets to answer frequently asked questions. Below is a listing of the Fact Sheets that have been completed with a brief overview of each. In the future, additional Fact Sheets will be produced as is necessary. Fact Sheets may be downloaded by clicking in the table below, ordered by contacting the Watershed Management Division. Please specify which fact sheets you would like to receive. Due to the 2010 Changes in the Vermont Wetland Rules, Factsheets are being revised. Thanks for your patience.
