Through the Agency's investigation, it was discovered that Westons Mobile Home Company, in the course of doing business, owns and operates a water system that serves approximately 121 people. This system failed to install a chlorination disinfection system with the capability to continuously disinfect the water supply, as required by State water supply regulations.

The matter came to light as a result of routine, Agency oversight. After the investigation was completed, Westons Mobile Home Park was notified of the violations and agreed to settle the matter. The Park has applied for and received a Permit to Construct the required system improvements.

The settlement was reduced to an Assurance of Discontinuance and was so ordered by the Environmental Court on July 23, 2004. In it, Westons Mobile Home Park agreed to come into compliance and fund a $4,000 supplemental environmental project.
