VGS and USGS Paper Map or Digital Data Available. View some maps as images on- line. To obtain high resolution images, contact our office.
The VGS and USGS open-file digital bedrock maps in this catalog may be downoaded directly from the VCGI HOMEPAGE (data produced 1995-2004) or directly from VGS/ANR. (data produced 2004-present). The data for new maps is distributed as a compressed Geodatabase. Files are compressed by using the .zip format. Metadata is available at the Geodatabase level. Maps through VCGI (pre-2006) are as shapefiles.

Order paper maps through the Vermont Geological Survey. The maps do not contain complete geologic information and have not been reviewed for conformity with VGS editorial standards. Any use of trade names is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply endorsement by the U.S. government or by the State of Vermont.
