Generators will recieve Hazardous Waste Generator Fee Assessments in March/April. Fees will be due April 30, 2013.
Regulations:
Vermont Hazardous Waste Management Regulations (VHWMR) (effective March 15, 2013).
Recent changes to the VHWMR include adoption of new federal RCRA regulations required for Vermont’s hazardous waste program to maintain its EPA-authorized status; adoption of the federal Academic Labs rule to replace the expired University Labs XL rule (applicable to UVM); addition of new standards for facilities that aggregate and temporarily store waste fuels received from off-site for subsequent reclamation/reuse; substitution of current small quantity generator emergency response procedures with equally protective but simpler standards; and clarification that used oil fuel meeting quality specifications is subject to limited regulation under the Subchapter 8 used oil management standards.
