Vermont Recycling Network receives grant funding
The Institution Recycling Network (IRN) of Concord, New Hampshire was awarded a $15,000 grant to evaluate logistics models to develop a Vermont business recycling network, the Vermont Recycling Network (VRN). The Network will start by evaluating markets for plastic film and reusable cardboard boxes. IRN will identify existing processors, transporters and markets and potential new opportunities for program materials. In addition, it will develop detailed logistics, financial and operating plans for each hauling, processing, and marketing model. Lastly, the IRN will determine the costs for businesses to participate in the network.

The grant will be completed in the summer of 2004.
