The State Solid Waste Plan -- now called the Materials Managment Plan -- consists of two main sections:

• History and Planning Update, which includes background information regarding solid waste, and
• Material Specific Managment, which includes goals, recommended action, and performance standards.

Process:

1. There is a 30 day public comment period for the Draft Plan. Please submit comments to Bryn Oakleaf. Comments should be submitted by December 10, 2012.
   **A meeting will be held to receive comments on Tuesday, November 27, at 1 PM at the State House (Room 11) in Montpelier**
2. DEC will consider comments received and then prepare a revised draft MMP. Next year, DEC will conduct another public comment period for the revised draft as part of the statutorily required process for adoption the Plan.
