Migratory Bird Harvest Information Program (HIP) Registration Page



If you are hunting migratory game birds, federal law requires you to register with the Migratory Bird Harvest Information Program (HIP). Migratory game birds include ducks, geese, brant, coots, snipe, and woodcock.

If you have not yet registered for a HIP Number this year, select Register HIP.

Registering is easy. You will be asked for your name, address, date of birth and a brief summary of last year's hunting activity.

If you have already registered for this year, but misplaced your assigned HIP Number OR do not remember if you registered for this year, select Lookup HIP Number.
